1. Introduction
CatScrap ("we," "us," or "our") operates the KitKit mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using KitKit, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Apple Sign-In Information
When you sign in with Apple, we collect:
- Unique Apple User ID (required)
- Email address (if you choose to share it)
- Full name (if you choose to share it)
2.2 Kit Creation Data
We store:
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript code you create in kits
- Kit names, descriptions, and metadata
- Kit creation and modification timestamps
- Version history of your kits
2.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Device type and operating system version
- App usage statistics (features used, errors encountered)
- Firebase Analytics data (crashes, performance metrics)
2.4 Subscription & Payment Data
If you subscribe to Premium:
- Subscription status and expiration date
- AI credit balance
- Purchase history (processed by Apple, not stored by us)
3. Why We Collect This Data
3.1 Legal Accountability
Important: We require authentication because users create executable code. Linking kits to verified Apple IDs protects our service and users from:
- Malicious code distribution
- Copyright infringement
- Illegal content
- Scams and fraud
3.2 Service Functionality
- Sync your kits across devices (future feature)
- Maintain your subscription and credit balance
- Provide personalized AI assistance
- Enable future KitChain blockchain features
4. How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers:
- Location: United States (us-central1)
- Encryption: At rest and in transit
- Retention: Until you delete your account
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Google Firebase (cloud hosting)
- Apple App Store (payment processing)
- OpenAI and Anthropic (AI API services - only code you submit, never personal data)
- When required by law or court order
6. Your Rights
6.1 Access Your Data
Contact us to request a copy of your data.
6.2 Delete Your Account
Go to: Settings → Account Management → Delete Account
This permanently deletes:
- Your user profile
- All kits you've created
- Credit balance and subscription history
- Cannot be undone
6.3 Export Your Kits
Use the Export feature to save kits as .kit files before deleting your account.

We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted storage (Firebase encryption)
- Authentication-required API access
- Regular security audits

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING KITKIT.
By downloading, installing, or using KitKit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and CatScrap. By using KitKit, you represent that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
- You will comply with all applicable laws
2. Account Requirements
2.1 Mandatory Sign-In
KitKit requires Apple Sign-In for all users. This is necessary for:
- Legal accountability: Users create executable code that could be harmful if abused
- Security: Tracking kit creators prevents malicious content distribution
- Future features: KitChain blockchain service requires verified identity
3. User Code of Conduct
3.1 Prohibited Content
❌ You may NOT create kits that contain:
- Malicious code (viruses, malware, crypto miners)
- Illegal content (copyright infringement, piracy)
- Harmful content (phishing, hate speech, violence)
- Privacy violations (unauthorized tracking, data theft)
4. Intellectual Property
You retain all ownership rights to kits you create. By using KitKit, you grant us a limited license to store and display your kits.
5. Premium Subscriptions
Free Tier: 5 kits maximum, ads shown
Premium Tier ($4.99/month or $49.99/year): Unlimited kits, no ads, 500 AI credits per month
6. Account Deletion and Forfeitures
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Deleting your account results in immediate and permanent forfeiture of:
- All Premium subscription benefits (no refunds for remaining time)
- All AI credits (purchased or earned, no refunds)
- All kits and data (cannot be recovered)
Before deleting: Cancel subscription, export kits, use remaining credits.
7. Limitation of Liability
KITKIT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. CatScrap SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF DATA, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY KITS YOU CREATE.
